COVID-19 Update - 10 March 2020
In recent weeks the Queensland PLA team have been monitoring the Australian Governments Department of Health and Queensland Health alerts on coronavirus (COVID-19) and the potential impact this could have on the May 24-27 State Conference in Brisbane.
We have also fielded a number of enquiries in recent days from our stakeholders concerned about the impact of COVID-19 and their attendance at the conference, but also the current status of our event.
At this stage we are monitoring Queensland Government alerts daily, however if the 2020 PLA QLD conference is cancelled due to health risks, we will offer a full conference ticket refund to those delegates who have purchased tickets via the PLA website.
Our primary concern is the health of our delegates and that of our communities, and we will continue to update you all as more information becomes available from Government Departments.
We are conscious that many of our delegates are from regional areas and understand some of you are holding off purchasing conference tickets and making travel arrangements until further public health information is provided. We absolutely appreciate this, and will provide regular conference updates to assist in your planning.
