About

The 2020 Conference aims to showcase the positive and proactive ways local governments, industry specialists and consultants are stepping up to the challenge of climate change and environmental stewardship.

The conference venue is Rydges Southbank in Brisbane across the Monday and Tuesday, with technical tours and master classes held across the Brisbane region on the Wednesday. We also have a host city sponsorship with Brisbane City Council, where we will be showcasing nearby events, facilities and projects, so it is set to be an amazing location.

We are also pleased to announce we will host our Queensland Awards on Monday 25th of May, where we will showcase the amazing projects across Queensland, which paves the way for winners to head to the national conference in Sydney.

This years event is focused on the future, both planning, but demonstrating success. Collaboration, professional development and networking are key themes of this years event, and we welcome everyone across not only the PLA sector, but anyone who has a professional or personal interest in climate, environment and how we can respond as an industry to ensure current and future generations continue to have health, social and community benefits from our parks, sporting, open space and community assets.

We look forward to seeing you in Brisbane this May and please start spreading the word, its going to be an amazing conference.
